Description

made in Cinema 4D R11 AR3
My Mechs Gallery

This is a half-size test render. It lasted over 14 hours. It's 12 mechs, 112 sets of scaffolding and 72 area lights with area shadows.

My "test" was for a few things. First I'm very surprised that I'm able to render a scene this complex. I've been doing my best to keep polycounts a lot lower than my previous models. But mainly I wanted to practice and learn about scale with this. On almost every render I've made the camera looks down onto the objects because I don't like the look of the horizon line and I don't know how to make it look infinite without a line. In this scene the camera is at the height of human eyes.

Imagine a building around it and the rest of my mechs in the slots. And I would like to make little vehicles that restock the mechs and some type of crane system from tracks on the ceiling. Maybe remove a few parts like an arm or something. I kinda wish I would've made these with opening cockpits. There's that word again. I've been calling one of my friends "cockpit" as a joke lately because she'll sleep with anyone. Want her phone number? I call her "pilot" or "captain" around other people.

Amazing scene! It's impressive indeed you were able to render all of this, I think my PC would have died half way through >.<
